about

"Game of Life" is a simple yet compelling acoustic arrangement, carrying a very powerful message. It focuses on struggle, poverty, hardship, rehabilitation and offers a solution to this dilemma.

Game of Life is one of the most significant songs on the album because of the direct message. People who have fallen into the cracks of society, who are they? how did they get there? and is there hope from them? Yes there is.

Although Game of Life holds a strong topic, it also has a feel good mood, touched by Maisey's melodic vocals.

lyrics

(Verse 1)

You see now how he walks
His shoulders high
The world goes by
There ain’t nobody home
On the street he’s not alone
Another waste
Descendants of the chiefs
Their blood absorbed into this land
Where we now live as slaves
He’s found that empty space
A chronic habit his escape
Ya corner him
You corner all of us
Am I just colour blind
Or is it my people filling up the inside
Nowhere to hide
Another waste

(Chorus)

Come come share in (share)
Come share in (share)
This game of life
Let love save
Let love save
What’s left behind
Nowhere to hide
Another waste
Come come share in (share)
Come share in (share)
This game of life
Let love save
Let love save
What’s left behind
Nowhere to hide
Another waste

(Verse 2)

I see it in
I see it in our Kids
The remnants of
The leaders we were
I’m so sick of being a follower
Loosing faith in my minister
Another waste
I can see right through you
See the light that shines through
What are we waiting for
Get in behind me
Help me open them doors
Satisfy my cause
Another waste

(Chorus)
